It's been a strange Christmas this year, but it's been fun. I won't be able to make it to the club house tomorrow, and I don't think anyone else will really. I could stop by around 11pm but I assume nothing will be going on.
Does anyone want to do something Sunday or Monday. Like skiing or indoor waterpark?

KofC Christmas Party, Ski Trip, and Other Notes
I am starting to hate COD MW2. I have been trying to change classes to much and not sticking to the class that I usually do well (the M16 with SP) it's really hard to go back to that once you feel the rush of sprinting laps around the map. I need to delete all other classes and just stick with the M16. Here is a picture of me watching Adeclipse owning up on some nublets with a helicopter.
KofC Christmas Party
The Saturday after Christmas or Texas Christmas as it is known, the Knights will be hosting a get together at the clubhouse. More details will follow, but hopefully we can get it on some of your radars (or UAVs)
KofC Thanksgiving Party
What is everyone doing Wednesday (the day before thanksgiving) anyone want to do something?
Ski Trip 2K10
Josey will have some information concerning the ski trip that he is currently purchasing right now.
Other Notes
- Josey's bro just bought a Live subscription (The River Wolf) and so he will probably be applying for clan membership shortly.
- SB has been sleeping for over 12 hours.
- Pablito is in Austria. His cat is currently alive. Though I have not seen him today.
- Looks like Warthog's roommate got MW2, and will be one tonight. Josey will be on tonight and I think I heard Dammer will be on. Not sure what time I will be on (if at all) but if not have fun playing. UPDATE: Warthog is heading home tonight, not playing COD.
- Joe Mauer wins the MVP.

Sunday Afternoon Time-wasting
Man it's been a while, I almost forgot about how much fun it can be to post. In any case, I'm wondering how everyone's Christmas/New Years was. Mine was pretty dang good, hectic but good. I went to DanaWillEatU's Mom's in Sauk Centre for Christmas, back to Owatonna to work on that Friday, to my parent's place in Iowa for the weekend, back up to DanaWillEatU's mom's on Sunday, back to Owatonna on Monday, work for two days, up to DanaWillEatU's sister's house in Hutchinson Wednesday night for New Years, back to Owatonna Friday morning. Needless to say I'm tired of riding/driving.
I don't have an engagement to announce following the holidays, but it's been crossing the mind quite frequently now. One perk of that day coming is that I won't have all of DanaWillEatU's family checking her ring finger every time we come visit.
My New Years report is far less glamourous than last year (at least I didn't get kicked out of a club), although it was quite fun. I mixed Crown and Coke all night with DanaWillEatU's brother-in-laws and watched Superbad and Eagle Eye. We all probably know how entertaining Superbad is, but I'm curious as to whether any of you know how entertaining Eagle Eye is. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not entertaining and 10 being Iowa beating up on South Carolina in the Outback Bowl, this rated a 3.2 for me. I think I've gotten more enjoyment out of a Patrick Dempsey chick flick than I did out of Eagle Eye.
Holy cow, the TV just told me that the Baltimore Ravens' Ed Reed has 5 career interceptions in 3 post-season games, that's pretty damn good. Too bad the game isn't all that entertaining and I've been watching Smokey and the Bandit for much of it instead. I never would have guessed that transporting Coors east of Texas back in 1977 would be considered bootlegging. Here are some other online tidbits I've come across as of late:
- Nothing worse than an out of control beaver
- As if we didn't already know
- A buddy at bowling showed this service from Google to me a couple weeks ago, I've already used it when I was lost trying to find DanaWillEatU and I's hotel
I'm going to make another attempt at coming up to the cities for a weekend, potentially the 24th. Go Vikings!

Daymonster's Christmas List
Here is a list of some of the stuff I hope Santa Claus brings me.
1. Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25It's a fully auto nerf gun that has a rate of fire of about 2-3 darts per second. It has a tripod for holding down the base or a strap to carry it around Josey style.
2. Wild Planet’s Spy Video ATV-360That little eye piece fits over your eye and the ear phone goes in your (you guessed it) ear. You drive this bad boy in the girls locker room and well, you get the idea... too bad you can't record on this thing.
3. McDonald's Gift CardsEven though they got rid of the Double Cheeseburger and now call it the McDouble because it only has one slice of cheese, I don't care I can eat it without ever leaving my building at work.
What kind of crap to you guys want?

Christmas Update: Ratings, Breakings, Noticings
Merry Christmas Eve KofCers!
Sitting here at my parents' computer, I was placed into a dilemma. On one hand I have a small, yet important, update to share with the KofC; on the other I have to use a dial-up connection to do all my internet browsing. My current connection speed? 40.0 Kbps, to put it in KofC terms I am browsing slightly slower than Daymonster plays Halo 3. What does this mean for you? A post devoid of links, pictures, or anything similar to entertainment. What you do get is an update on the ratings calculator...isn't that good enough?
I have good and bad news to report. I'll start with the bad. The previous plan was to use an Applet to put the ratings mechanism on the website. Unfortunately after I had the basic layout and design created and coded, I discovered that Applets cannot "talk" to other servers besides the one they are hosted on unless they are signed. What does that mean? Well it means I would have to go through a long arduous process to get it signed so that I can make connections to Bungie.net. Do I wanna do that? Hell no. The other piece of bad news is that after a series of frustrating events led me to punch the power cord on the back of my laptop multiple times in a fit of Dammer rage (see the ice scraper incident), the connection to my laptop has been compromised. Unfortunately both of my batteries are shot as well. What does this mean? This means that I placed an order for a new power supply today and it won't be here until next week perhaps. In other words production has come to a standstill on my end.
The good news: I have made a standalone version of how far I am in the ratings calculator. I plan to package it up and make it downloadable from the website as soon as I can get back onto my laptop. All you need is the latest version of Java to run it. It doesn't do anything yet, but at the least you will see what it graphically looks like. I will talk with Tilla some more, but until we figure some things out the plan is to make this a standalone app that will be available for download off of the website so that you can at least see what's happening.
Random notes: I came home to find the Luther College yearbook placed in my room. How well was the KofC represented? Here's a breakdown:
DammerWillEatU: 77, 132, 139
Josey Wales: 77
Squatting Bear: 77
Locopollo: 77
Unky Warthog: 118, 120
Unky Eternal: no pages
UnkyPlayboy: don't know his real name
Based on this you would think that page 77 had a great picture of the KofC in action doing something, but you'd be wrong. Page 77 is the page for "Seniors Not Pictured".
That's it, enjoy your Christmas!
