Possible Future KofC: Get To Know 'Em: FuggFirst/MCHolla

Some of you might have known that we have another wannabe KofC member. This man goes by many names, but many of you know him as MC. Here is his interview. As always say 'yay' or 'nay' in the comment section. Who are we kidding obviously we can join, we don't have high standards.

Gamertag: fuggfirst

Explain the significance of the Gamertag: i'm retarded when it comes to setting up anything w/ the internet, so I had a friend do it for me...naturally, he messed up what my gamertag should have been "fuggfrist"- as in fuck bill frist- a guy who tried to end online poker

Age: 21!

Location: NFLD

If you could go out drinking with any three people (alive, dead or video game characters) who would they be? Chris farley, Barry Badrinath, Cup [SB and Unky's older brother]

Favorite Video Game: Halo 1 and it's not even close

Halo 1, 2 or 3? 1 obv

Favorite Fast Food Restaurant: QB Club

Favorite non-alcoholic Drink: coke

Your greatest Halo memory/achievement: Senior year in HS, myself and some
friends played a ton of halo 1, every single night, any free time- we played. We found some juniors who wanted to challenge us, but would only play on their turf- so we ended up going to this kids house and they were given a big screen with comfy couches etc.. while we were given like a 18 in screen that was mounted up at an angle on the wall- and we were down 2-0
on ctf on bloodgulch so we decided to get intense and take off our shirts, so there were 4 guys with their shirts off staring up at a screen who made an incredible 2-0 ctf comeback out of their element- capped with a winning score by going thru the portal and flagwhipping 2 people who went through before getting a ride to cap the victory...

Your worst Halo memory: when I got put on academic probation due basically to playing halo too much.... just kidding- dont think i've ever really had a terrible halo memory

What kind/size of TV, Xbox, controller, setup do you use when you game: 50 in., 360 elite/reg xbox, hamburger controller for reg xbox (big controller)- def lights off and sound up so high that i think i'm master chief.

What are your strengths as a video game player? can play long hours and not tire too much

Weaknesses: I tilt and start saying things like "why won't you fucking die" or "die you fucking tard"- I don't play optimally at those points

Why did you buy a ps3 before an xbox360?
because I wanted something that I could play blu-ray's on, and my roommate mooches off what I buy and he really wanted it.

Do you like playing alone better than on a team. Why or why not?
That's a tough one. Obviously you have to make some sacrifices when your on a team, but the satisfaction of completing a ctf cap, executing a perfect bait-kill play with your teammates is highly rewarding, but there is something about being a loner that is fun and intense- so i'd have to say loner.

You like to gamble, relate stories about gambling and video games, specifically diddy kong: haha back in 3rd grade I ran into unky warthog. We hung out at school, and finally I asked him to come over and hang out at my house- and to bring his baseball cards. We play a couple of games of Diddy Kong, and I'm letting unky win by a large margin- I then ask, "(Unky), You're really good, do you want to wager some baseball cards on the next game". Unky happily obliges thinking he's the the real king Diddy Kong master puts up his coveted Chipper Jones $15 baseball card- I don't remember what i put up, but it doesn't matter- I could have put my soul up for sale or slavery for life...I wasn't going to lose. 5 min later I crushed him in dk, and swiped his ass clean! We've been best friends ever since... [Editor's note: You swiped his ass clean?]

How much do you miss party poker? omg you don't even know
Rank the croquet players from best to worst: Me, SB(excellent
cheater) Cup, Sven, Daymontser, Unky, Eric Perkins

Without using names talk about the person who owes you 800 bucks: Haha, I thought i was the shit sophomore year of college- had a lot of money, and just won a live mtt (Multi-table tournament) so I had like 1k on me. Villian knows that I won and hawks on me to loan him 800 bucks. "I have bills to pay, I will pay you back very soon" etc etc, naturally I'm a nice guy along with a retarded one and lent him the money- after countless facebook harassments about my money and phone calls I've given it up- he's out of GA, and in deep debt- worst investment ever.

A long time ago I left my poker chips at your house, when you returned them several months later there were 4 chips missing. Do you plan on replacing those? I believe they are down in my basement- so maybe one day!

A famous person once said, "all captains of basketball teams should be able to dunk." Can you dunk? On a good day.

How will your experience as captain of the basketball team benefit KofC? We will find out. [Editor's Note: Not so fast buddy, you're not in yet.]

Do you struggle to find time to play vids/poker during basketball season? Yes, very difficult, but I found that I can sacrifice studying to make sure that I get in a healthy dose of poker and vids.

Explain your affection for artificially flavored beers (Bud light lime and Summer Shandy) They just taste good.

Best boot time? 40 oz boot- 40 sec. Full boot- 2:15. [Editor's Note: Bullshit]

Anything else you want to add? Squatting bear is really good at rigging the deck at 5 card draw- don't play with him.

Future KofC Get to Know 'Em: Rando/ShoesMcGee

For the people who were at the KofC Housewarming party, you might remember a lad by the name of "Rando", then again, you might not remember. Anywho, he came thinking it was a LAN party, but ended up staying for the festivities. Obviously once he met the group he wanted to join the ranks. I sent some questions a while ago and he finally got back with some answers. I will be the first to admit two things. 1) My questions are pretty terrible, it's actually quite difficult to ask interesting questions when you don't know anything about them. All I know is that he often goes to male strip clubs. (see below) This brings me to 2) I promise to stop using that picture of Josey, this is the last time I promise. I just didn't know what to do for the picture.

Here is the interview. If anyone has any better questions ask them in the comments section.

Name: Rando, Gamertag: ShoesMcGee

Age: 23

Where you live, yo?: River Falls, WI

If you could go out drinking with any three people (alive, dead or video game characters) who would they be?
George S. Patton, Gordon Freeman and Walter Sobchak.

Favorite Non-Alcholic Drink?
Coke

Favorite Food?
Cheese Curds... Wisconsin has messed me up irreversibly.

Favorite Sports Team(s)?
1986 Chicago Bears... Superbowl shuffle, FUCK YEAH (Editor's Note: That was the 1985 Bears, unless you were talking about the 1986 Bears that lost in the NFC Divisional Playoff)
Actually, not huge into sports, but I watch the Twins and Vikings if they're on. (Editor's Note: As opposed to when they are not on?)

Favorite Video Game system?
SNES

Favorite Video Game?
I wouldn't know where to start... Fallout, FFVII, Halo, Chrono Trigger, Starcraft, Company of Heroes...Can't think of any one that stands out the most.

Which is the best, Halo, Halo 2 or Halo 3?
What is Halo 2, I haven't heard of that game? The first Halo is the best.

What is your favorite FPS shooter?
It is a toss-up between Half-Life for single player, and CoD4 for multiplayer.

What is your favorite Halo 3/COD4 weapon?
Halo: The butt of my gun.
COD4: Toss up between the P90 and the M14.

What is your favorite Halo 3/COD4 map?
Halo: The Pit
COD4: Crossfire

Halo 3 Game type:
Team Slayer

Your greatest Halo memory/achievement:
Hanging out with Locopuyo and some friends, on the original Halo, and figuring out how to get on top of the map on Sidewinder and capture the flag in not that much time.

Your worst Halo memory:
Realizing how much time we wasted just fucking around to do that.

What kind/size of TV, Xbox, controller, setup do you use when you game:
42" Samsung, XB360(whatever the first one that came out was that had the hard-drive, premium I think?) Wireless controller, 5.1 surround sound, one of those helmets with the straws on it.

What are your strengths as a video game player?
I have massive thumbs... seriously.... I think that is a strength.

Weaknesses:
Short attention span when I'm losing.

Since we really don't know you very well, what is one thing that we should know about you before you enter the elite group known as KofC?
If you're playing on Live with me after 7:00 pm, I'm probably drunk... so keep that in mind and things might make more sense.

That's it. I say he is in. It's not like we are being selective.

In other news: Good luck to Squatting Bear at the WSOP. Made it through day 2. Go! Go! Go!

KofC Get to Know 'Em: Adeclipse [Round 2]

1. Since all our GF's have variations of our names, what would your wife's name be? We have been referring to her as Girlclipse or Wifeclipse.
I like the Wifeclipse one.

2. When will she write about Vids?
I'm sure i could get her to write about them whenever she has some free time. I'm sure she has quite a bit to say about my love of video games.

3. Post a picture of Wifeclipse.
I'll have to find a picture first. We aren't big on the whole picture taking thing. [Editor's Note: Liar.]

4. How fast do you think you could drink a boot? Would you use any specific technique? (i.e. Josey sits on his beers to get them to optimal temperature):
I'm not exactly sure what the definition of a boot is to tell you the truth. But, I will ask is there a funnel that i can poor said boot through? [Editor's Note: Watch this.]

5. What specifically interested you in KofC. I think you alluded to this before, but please be more specific. (i.e. was there any one member you thought was really lame, but emailed anyway?)
I really couldn't say what interested me in KofC. It seemed like a smaller group of people which i thought was cool, since the bigger groups never seem to play together, and don't seem to know each other.

6. Do you think their will ever be another "random convert"? Would you feel jealous or would you welcome the other one(s)? What are you saying by "random convert"?
If you're referring to another member that doesn't know everyone it's cool with me so long as they don't suck ass at CoD4 or Halo, and go like 1-32 in games.

7. Word on the street is you are a big puss, how would you get over your "myriad of injuries" to take on Josey?
Like I said, i don't use rules when I fight. If it's an object that is solid and has the possibility of cracking skulls, then it's an object I'd like to use. Really the only injury I have right now is my shoulder. I dislocated it playing soccer about a year ago, and never let it heal correctly. Also, it's not so much that I’m a puss, I just don't stop and let things rest when I'm hurt so they don't heal correctly.

8. On a scale of 0 to 1 million (1 million being a for sure thing and 0 being no chance in hell) what are the chances you will be ringing SB's doorbell for the KofC housewarming party?
Right now i'd have to say 32. I don't want to say no way, because if i drink enough, who knows where i'll show up at. [Editor's Note: So you're telling me there's a chance? Yeah!]

9. Follow up question: If not this weekend, when are you going to come to Minnesota/Iowa/Illinois and visit some KofC members?
I need to at some point. Problem is being married and planning trips right now. Maybe I'll get the chance to come up at some point. My wife has family in Chicago, in Palestine or something, and we occasionally will go up there for family reunions. Also, there are some family members in Michigan or something.

10. Why isn't Dajuicee a member of KofC?
I don't know. I keep telling him to send y'all an e-mail.

11. Also, like other noble KofC members (I think only Unky Warthog) you were a "band" kid. At the risk of sounding cliche, tell us a "band camp" story.
I was a band kid, this is true. But, I played drums so it's not as bad as it sounds. [Editor’s note: still sounds bad]. I also used to play set for a few groups, and still help to lay down tracks. As far as a band camp story goes, This one time at band camp... I don't know if i really have a story. I did send a guy home from camp because i broke his rib playing football once. That's really not that interesting though. The most interesting memories were walking in on my Cousin/roommate at camp, just going at it with different girls. Also, I caught 2 random people having sex in a dumpster.

12. Rate your perception of drinking abilities of the KofC members as well as yourself.
Everyone seems as though they're able to hold their own in drinking from the stories I’ve read. I think of my drinking abilities as being pretty good. I mean, I’m Texan, I’m German, my blood runs alcohol through it 24/7.

13. Besides, Dajuicee and your wife, is there anyone else that is aware of your membership in the KofC clan? Are you ashamed to tell people?
MyBigDumbFace knows. I don't have a ton of people that I hang out with now, being at school again and not having lived here in a while, but I talk to people sometimes randomly and get to talking about like CoD4 and I’ll tell them I’m in a clan. They can kiss my ass if they don't like it or think it's funny.

14. On your facebook page, your religious views are stated, "There is a God and Jesus rules." Do you mean like Jesus Rules!, like O’Doyle Rules! or in a different way, please elaborate.
Yeah I should have included a “!” after it. I don't view myself as being one particular denomination besides Christian. I guess since I go to Baylor I would say I’m a Baptist, but I grew up going to a Methodist Church, so who knows.

15. Unky Warthog wants to know, if you were stranded on a deserted Island and you had to be there with one KofC member and one Marvin Gaye song, what would the song be and who would be the KofC member?
I guess I’d go with the song "I Heard it Through the Grapevine". If you don't like that song, then there is something wrong with you. I guess I’d take Josey along, that way if it got really boring we could at least fight apparently.

16. Besides KofC Blog and email, what are your top 5 most visited websites?
ESPN.com, NetFlix, Killsometime.com, Fantasycommissioner.com (fantasy football keeper league), and Google Video.

17. SB and Pablito are starting a band. Would you be in it and what should the name be?
Obviously I’d be in it. I love music and I figure that's what I’m going for right now with my major. The name should be something like the “Sex Pistols Revisited”, or something like that. Also, you have to include the word Featuring in it. Even if you aren't featuring anyone. It makes it sound cooler.

18. Favorite Drinking game?
Kings, or Ring of Death. Both are good games. Ring of death is really if you want to skip the fun part and just get fucked up quickly. As far as a non-card game goes, Beer pong is my favorite.

Questions and Responses

Thanks to an over-whelming response to my last post, I am now posting the answers to those questions I asked. (That was sarcasm, but thanks to Unky Warthog and Pablito for the responses, I'll add more if more people answer)

Video Game Category:
1. What was your first video game you remember playing/getting?
Unky Warthog: I remember playing Super Mario 3 at my Grandma's house. Besides that, Zelda for Gameboy, and Tecmo Bowl for SNES. I may have played NES first, but I don't think I remember it.
Pablito Neal: Mario for NES.
The Daymonster: I remember playing Atari at a friends house but the first video game I remember getting was the NES for Christmas with the Super Mario/Duck Hunt combo.
DammerWillEatU: Playing – a bowling game on an Atari. Getting – Super Mario World for game boy
Adeclipse: I remember playing a golf game for the old NES, along with Duckhunt and Mario Bros. The golf game was my dad's favorite back in the day.

2. What is your favorite system of all time?
Unky Warthog: Hmm...It's gotta be 360, but not by much. For me it's really what system have I had the best memories playing, and while some of my favorite video gaming experiences have been FFVII, Madden series on PS, and Halo for XBox, my memories for 360 include Big Bumpin', Worms, Uno, Halo 3, Amped 3, and many others.
Pablito Neal: Super Nintendo, followed closely by the TI-86 calculator.
The Daymonster: Original Xbox, Halo was way too much fun for it not to be. It was a hard decision selling the PS2 for an Xbox but I think I made the right decision.
DammerWillEatU: For what it can do and the user experience the 360. I have my best video game memories by far though from the Game Boy and the Sega Genesis.
Adeclipse: My favorite system of all time was probably the N64 because I can remember hours of fun linking up with friends to play Golden Eye and games like that.

3. What is your favorite video game of all time?
Unky Warthog: Final Fantasy VII. Someday I'll go back and play it and be disappointed in the quality for so many reasons, but I'll stick with that for now. I can still hear the song...'SEPH I ROTH!...SEPH I ROTH!...'
Pablito Neal: Football Manager.
The Daymonster: Probably Halo 1, but also Timesplitters and Metal Gear Solid bring back great memories.
DammerWillEatU: This is an unfair question. You should have said “favorite shooter” or “favorite sports” etc. Oh man…..uh…….uhhhh……….it’s ridiculously common of a choice I know but Ocarina of Time holds the biggest place in my heart for far too many reasons to explain here.
Adeclipse: Favorite game of all time would have to be the old Contra for the old school Nintendo. As easy as it was to beat it was still fun to do over and over. Also, I guess Sunset Riders was an awesome game back in the day.

4. What is your favorite video game peripheral of all time?
Unky Warthog: XBox 360 Mic, N64 Rumble Pack, PS Memory Card
Pablito Neal: Rock Band Guitar.
The Daymonster: NES power pad, Track and field back then had to be one of the best games ever.
DammerWillEatU: The Sega controller we got that allowed you to program a left and right shoulder button to a combination of the other buttons. NBA Jam TE was never the same, no longer was I in a constant state of holding down the Turbo button. I could now with the push of one button punch people and steal their ball…so much more efficient than trying to press two.
Adeclipse: I feel like saying the Joystick for PC but that would be too easy to say, and I didn't play a ton of PC games back in the day. So, I guess I'd have to say I liked the old school accessory guns for House of the Dead 3 back on the gamecube.

Food and Drink Category:
5. What is your favorite fast food restaurant?
Unky Warthog: It depends on the definition. If we're gonna say burger type joints, it's Arby's. If we're ordering at the counter, it's Noodles. If we go by the most broad definition, it's Pizza Hut.
Pablito Neal: Chipotle.
The Daymonster: Taco Bell, especially if I don't count what happens to my digestive system after.
DammerWillEatU: Arby’s. I’ve only been to Noodles & Company once, but I really really like it. I question whether I can call it fast food or not.
Adeclipse: Taco Bueno

6. What is your favorite non-alcoholic beverage?
Unky Warthog: Fanta Icy Lemon or Sunkist Sparkling Lemonade
Pablito Neal: Dole Pineapple Orange Banana Juice.
The Daymonster: Gatorade, I am really liking the new yellow Tiger brand stuff.
DammerWillEatU: Lemon Lime Gatorade when I am utterly dehydrated. Cherry Coke made with Grenadine is awesome too.
Adeclipse: Dr. Pepper

7. What is your least favorite food, besides broccoli?
Unky Warthog: Eggplant and mushrooms are pretty bad. I've started to like olives.
Pablito Neal: Sushi.
The Daymonster: Without a doubt zucchini and mushrooms.
DammerWillEatU: Those chocolates with the disgusting cherry filling inside.
Adeclipse: Pickles, and hey I love Broccoli.

Miscellaneous Category:
8. Which is worse getting a burp in the face or a fart in the general area?
Unky Warthog: Burp in the face for sure.
Pablito Neal: General area fart is worse.
The Daymonster: Burp in the face is 100x worse.
DammerWillEatU: Fart in the general area.
Adeclipse: Fart in the general area, but only if It's known that there was gas passed, and only if it smells horrible. Dajuicee has some horrible smelling gas. When we used to room together he could clear the room even if he was sitting on the opposite side.

9. What combination of KofC members against SB and Josey would create the fairest fight?
Unky Warthog: Wait, we have a ninja in our clan, right? No need for a combination.
Pablito Neal: Adeclipse and Dammer.
The Daymonster: Everyone else.
DammerWillEatU: Eternal and Adeclipse.
Adeclipse: Hmm, I don't know how they fight and I don't know if you're referring to RL or game wise. In RL I'd love to take a crack. I like to fight even though I don't much since high school. Hockey used to do it for me all the time. I think Dajuicee and I could put up a good fight against most people because we have decent size.

10. Would you rather have no video games for a year or no sex for a year?
Unky Warthog: At this stage in my life probably no sex for a year. No guarantees it would happen anyway.
Pablito Neal: ... no vids, but it's tough.
The Daymonster: sex, as soon as I can have sex for hours at a time with multiple people, I'll revisit my response.
DammerWillEatU: No vids.
Adeclipse: Well, I'm married so one of them is already true... Just kidding. That's a rough question. I'm going to keep my mouth closed because I don't want to even have the chance of being in trouble.

11. What is your favorite free ware online game (besides Puyo's running one)?
Unky Warthog: Snood
Pablito Neal: Counttonine.com Sudoku.
The Daymonster: Desktop Tower Defense.
DammerWillEatU: I don’t play that many, but I did play a game called Dragonslayer quite a bit back in middle school (I think that’s what it was called).
Adeclipse: I don't know what the name of it is but you do these random Olympic Games that are all kind of crappy, but still fun.

12. Does anyone want to plan a cross country RV trip next summer to tour a bunch of ballparks?
Unky Warthog: Absolutely, as long as we do our best to catch a Braves game...and it's a booze cruise.
Pablito Neal: Possibly.
The Daymonster: It was my idea, so of course.
DammerWillEatU: Probably.
Adeclipse: I don't know about playing a cross country road trip. I also am not a fan of planning them to ball parks either. I am not a huge fan of baseball. I only get interested if the Astros or Rangers make it into playoffs.

Some Questions for KofC Members

One of my favorite features of this blog/site/clan/circle of trust is the KofC Get to Know 'Em Series. It's always good to get to know people even the ones you thought you knew. I still am a little hesitant to explain how I know Adeclipse without sounding like a total loser. (Uh, well you see, uh we met online, it's interesting because, uh well, he is from Texas and he emailed us because he saw our video game blog) usually after the "we met online" people start getting creeped out. So now when my friends asks who I am playing with I tend to say Adeclipse and Dejuicee are combat buddies from my time in Afghanistan after high school.

Anyways, I digress, I would like to take this opportunity to ask a few questions to everyone that they can respond in the comments or if you think it would be more fun, you can email me the response and I can post them all in the next post. Either way is fine with me, just let me know what you think before you start posting your answers in the comment section.

Here are the questions:

Video Game Category:
1. What was your first video game you remember playing/getting?
2. What is your favorite system of all time?
3. What is your favorite video game of all time?
4. What is your favorite video game peripheral of all time?

Food and Drink Category:

6. What is your favorite non-alcoholic beverage?
7. What is your least favorite food, besides broccoli?

Miscellaneous Category:

10. Would you rather have no video games for a year or no sex for a year?

12. Does anyone want to play a cross country RV trip next summer to tour a bunch of ballparks?

Not Exactly a Get to Know 'Em: The Daymonster

I asked some KofCers for some interview questions. Only Pablito was nice enough to supply some. Since there is only a handful of questions, this is more of a discussion starter as these questions are very interesting.

Estimate the amount of money you've sent on video games in your life. Do you wish it were more, the same or less? Are there any systems/games you wish you had played but didn't?
That's an excellent question. First I want to go through all the video game systems I have or have had, in approximate order. Commodore 64 (and other computers along the way), Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Game Gear, Virtual Boy (two of them), Playstation, Playstation 2, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and PSP.

As far as an amount of money, it's really difficult to say. Most of my video games from about Virtual Boy and earlier were presents from Christmas and birthdays. I didn't really start spending my own money on games and consoles until Playstation. One of the more defining moments in my life was when I took a piece of computer paper, drew a N64 on one side and a Playstation on the other. I spent the entire day in 8th grade asking people which one I should buy. The Playstation side had one more vote than the N64 and I ended up getting a Playstation. A decision that changed my life from then on. I was dedicated to the Sony video game brand, and will admit to playing golden eye probably three-times in my life.

That is of course until I played Halo, I sold my PS2 on ebay and bought an Xbox. I think the majority of my money goes into games, as I have always had a ton of games by the time the console goes obsolete. I had about 25 games for the Playstation and close to 30 for the PS2. Right now I have about 5 games for each of the three major consoles I own. And about 6 and 3 for DS and PSP respectively.

I am sure I could add up all the accessories, controllers, games and consoles and it would certainly be in the thousands but I think it's best not to look at it that way. Because that's way too depressing.

Compare and contrast the difference, if any, between using a disabled person bathroom stall to a disabled person parking space.
Well I have never parked in a handicap space but I tend to always use the handicap bathroom stall. I just enjoy the extra leg room. Until you asked this question I had never thought about it. What is interesting is how the Handicap parking space is always closest to the entrance to the building, while the handicap stall tends to be the farthest stall away.

I am not sure what I would do if I was in the handicap stall and the other stalls were empty and someone who actually needed the stall rolled up to the door. That would be very awkward.

But anyways, I think it's okay to use the stall as it's a little different. If I park in a handicap spot I have left the area of my car and forcing that person to park farther away. With the stall, I am right there and have the ability to move (provided I can take a few seconds to wipe). I would say using a handicap bathroom stall is closer to parking in the handicap spot IF you are still in the car. It's not good to do, but it's certainly better than the alternative.

Which character are you most looking forward to seeing again when The Office starts?
I think that Micheal is getting worse as a character. He was always dumb but he is getting more and more dumb every episode. Ryan bothers me now and Dwight is too obvious of a choice. Probably Kevin or Toby are characters that I am most looking forward to.

If you could get rid of one law, what would it be?
It would be sweet to be able to shoplift. But I would only want that to apply to me. And some how the law would say that by me shoplifting I would be stimulating the economy. I don't know if that's really what you meant by the question but... that's my answer.

Or the law of gravity. (which is still technically a theory isn't it?)

How many beers does it take for you to be at that perfect point where it feels like you can dodge bullets and you only get head shots (in Halo/COD)? How about in real life?
I have a theory about the perfect level of drunkenness for video games. It only works for me if I start drinking while playing the game. If I go to a bar and come back I'm not as good as if I start drinking while playing (oh man, this is not a good thought during work. I really want to play vids and drink beer right now). But if I am playing I would say it's somewhere around 4-6 beers where I am feeling in the zone.

Dodging bullets in real life? About 20-25 beers.

What is your favorite casual game to play while at work?
Desktop Tower Defense for sure (Thanks Josey). Haven't played it in a while but it's a great, great, game. Line rider is good, but I get really frustrated when I can't get it to do exactly what I want it to do.

Third and final DLC map revealed: It's Lockout.

The third map is called Blackout and is almost exactly same as Lockout except it's at night and is an Alaskan USNC weather station. Read all about it here.

Get to Know 'Em: Round 2 (Squatting Bear)

I emailed Squatting Bear a few questions that were on my mind. Here are the responses.

What is your favorite map out of the Heroic DLC Map Pack?
I like Rat's Nest the most, though to be honest I'm unimpressed by them all, especially Foundry. Creating a 'forgeable map' seems like a lazy cop-out to me.

What map from Halo 1 or Halo 2 do you hope will be remade in the future Map Pack?
Damnation. Daymonster has mentioned it before I believe, and I agree, Damnation has a solid mix of close range and long range battles that I feel would be well suited for Halo 3.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being horrible) how would you rate the Santana/Mets trade?
I think the trade was a 6 or 7. I'm really disappointed we didn't take earlier offers from the Yankees or Red Sox, though I am glad we traded Santana before we lost him to free agency after this season. The trade isn't as bad as I originally thought, Baseball America ranks the prospects we got from the Mets as the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th rated prospects in their organization. Hopefully 1 or 2 of them will pan out.

Predict the 2008 AL Central standings:
Tigers, Indians, Twins, White Sox, Royals. I don't think the Twins have much hope for 2008, though 2009 and 2010 look good.

Lost Question: Jack or Sawyer?
Probably Jack, though he can get annoying at times. Really looking forward to the season premiere tonight.

Please explain why you think Call of Duty 4 is better than Halo 3:
It's hard to say exactly why, I just find it to be more fun. Upgrading and customizing your soldier is really fun, and killing opponents is more satisfying than in Halo. Also, its nice to start with good weapons, its not such a whore-fest, and reminds me of Halo 1 where you are ready to battle as soon as you spawn.

Should the other Knights of Cydonia start playing COD4?
I'd like to see us try it out. I think it could be really fun, as each person would need to specialize in certain aspects and customizations. It would be a different change of pace to each have our own roles and responsibilities.

What's your favorite weapon in COD4?
Right now I prefer the m16, as I unlock more I could possibly see that changing.

What about a favorite map?
Don't have one, I've only played each a few times and don't really know my way around them yet. [Editor's note: can we agree the ship map sucks?]

What is your current favorite perk?
Stopping power. It kills dudes faster, which is always a plus.

Get to Know 'Em: Round 2 (DammerWillEatU)

After a few month hiatus we have grown apart. What better way to get to know the other members of our storied clan but to interview them with dumb and often pointless questions. Our first interviewee of the second round of interviews is DammerWillEatU. Let's see what he has to say.

Dammer it's good to have you here. How have you been?
I'm good Daymonster. It's great to be here and thanks for having me.

What is your favorite new map from the Heroic DLC?
Rats Nest, even though I haven't played it a whole lot compared to the other two, never seems to completely come together for me. I always feel like stuff is happening elsewhere, and by the time I get to the battle-site it's already over. Foundry is the exact opposite. While I don't do poorly on the map, I can't have fun. It always seems like I'm taking grenade shrapnel and I never feel safe. This leaves Standoff, which I like the most of the three. The biggest reason is that every time I play on the map it's a good time. There is enough BR to go around, and if you can team up in a warthog as I often try to do you can really decimate the other team....assuming you aren't playing people that actually know how to get you out of a warthog using grenades, guns, melees etc. and your gunner doesn't blow goats for quarters.

If you had to live in a Halo map (any not just Halo 3) which map would it be and why?
First off I'm an outdoorsy type of guy, and while I would love to say a Halo 1 map is where I want to live, the one with the most textured terrain and realistic sound was Sidewinder and I refuse to live in those conditions...(so why do I live in Minnesota then?). Battle Creek was a close second for detail, and would be a great place to host capture the flag paintball matches, it still feels like you're inside a box since it's so small with high cliff walls. Some of the city-scapes from Halo 2 (Headlong, Turf, Terminal) are slightly appealing, mainly Terminal and Headlong, but the urban environment just isn't my style. The blend of building and nature is what I'm going for, and also a sense of openness.
So I would have to say I would want to live at High Ground. There are trees and rocks, but also buildings with rooms. It has a huge missile launcher in the back to keep my enemies at bay, and a computer terminal so I can keep up with the blog. More importantly though it is directly accessible to a vast ocean, giving the openness I'm desiring. It also has great ambient sound, which I can't do without. For those of you wondering, Sanctuary from Halo 2 is my second choice. Third place goes to Halo 3's Guardian. If you make that place bigger with more to look at in the distance than fog then it jumps up one, maybe two places.

If you could change one thing about Halo 3 what would it be?
I actually have two things of equal annoyance. I don't like how long it takes between your shots with the Human sniper. So often I can't get my second shot off before they duck in cover. It isn't like the mechanics of the gun can't fire that fast, and my finger is definitely pulling the trigger. I also don't like the Carbine's lack of accuracy over distance. This is supposed to be on par with the BR, but when I shoot at some one's head from a medium distance with the damn thing I can see the shots encircling the head with only one hitting per like 4 or 5. That's not cool, especially when you can see their shield sparking.

What is your favorite thing to do to pass the time during work hours (KofC blog excluded, of course)?
I like to go to the Dilbert archive and read comics from the past week. I find that they are much more hilarious now that I work in a cube as a software programmer just like the title character. I also spend a lot of time browsing ESPN's Page 2. I know I'm not the first to say this, but for the love of god could they PLEASE fire Jemele Hill. Page 2 is for funny stories, not horrible ones.

If you could have any job in the world what would it be?I think it'd be cool to be a video game creative designer/producer. I don't wanna be the person that codes the graphics, textures, or animation because I don't have art background, game design background, and I wasn't a physics major. I wanna be the guy that has cool ideas, tests the game and says "know what makes me mad, that I can't climb to the top of this because of an invisible wall". This may sound crazy, but sometimes I dream in video game, where I'm a character accomplishing certain tasks, or fighting an onslaught of foes, or using sweet equipment that's never been thought of before (perhaps a 360 degree rotational gyroscope defense turret that fires blasts of molten lava?). I wake up and think "now that'd be a sweet game".

In 3 months who will be fatter you or The Daymonster? (Current Daymonster specs: 5'9" 215lbs)
Daymonster for sure. I'm currently 6' 0'' 198lbs and I joined the Fitness Center at work last week and I've already gone twice. I will be hitting up the elliptical many times throughout the winter and then as soon as spring hits and the weather gets warmer I'll be hitting the roads. I may volunteer with the local track team as well so that I have people to run with, but I'm pretty lazy so we'll see if that happens or not. [Editor's Note: Challenge?]

What would you do with a million dollars? Pay off my student loans, buy a new computer, buy a new car, buy a nice house, buy fishing supplies including a fishing boat, buy Charter Communications and immediately burn the company down (they can't be worth more than 200 grand can they?), let my parents renovate their house, give a lot to my brothers to pay for most of their college.

Why won't you let us meet your new girl friend. Is she ugly? She is very cute and not the least bit ugly. She actually just met my parents this last weekend. She also works at least one day of each weekend at the chocolate factory and makes it really hard for me to show her to friends. I'll keep trying though.

Find something on the interwebs you want SB to buy:
This.

Since you have a pirate as your emblem here is a question for you: You have five pirates, ranked from 5 to 1 in descending order. The top pirate has the right to propose how 100 gold coins should be divided among them. But the others get to vote on his plan, and if fewer than half agree with him, he gets killed. How should he allocate the gold in order to maximize his share but live to enjoy it?
35, 20, 17, 15, 13. Of course what this isn't taking into account is pirate nature. If rank 5 knew he'd be killed if they voted against him he'd kill them first. Since the gold is probably in his possession anyway he could take the money and run. Of course, 100 gold coins is hardly a pirates booty worth fighting over. You can keep that amount is a small leather pouch. What's to say the other's even know of its existence? The last thing to think about is that he's probably safe the way it is regardless of what he does. The small man on the totem poll has the most say in the long run. If #4 doesn't like what he's getting he can vote no. Since it makes sense for the #1 to always vote no, that leaves #2 or #3 to join in at which point #5 is killed and it defaults to #4 deciding the breakdown. Repeat the process and you'll see that the others are almost hamstrung into voting yes lest they risk becoming the leader and immediately getting voted down and killed.

Since you know Tilla and he is getting married her is ANOTHER question for you: Every man in a village of 100 married couples has cheated on his wife.Every wife in the village instantly knows when a man other than her husband has cheated, but does not know when her own husband has. The village has a law that does not allow for adultery. Any wife who can prove that her husband is unfaithful must kill him that very day. The women of the village would never disobey this law. One day, the queen of the village visits and announces that at least one husband has been unfaithful. What happens?
The women kill the Queen for stating the obvious. If she knows, then they all know, and since she announced it she was probably the woman who the man slept with. If it was only one husband that was unfaithful then the wife wouldn't know it, the announcement would be new news, and she'd kill her husband. If it was more than one husband they could all just sit down and chart out the time of day at which they received their ESP message about a cheating husband. If you didn't get the memo at the time you should have then you can kill your husband. The women then have a huge lesbian orgy, videotape it, put it on pornTube for Josey to download and recommend to other porn aficionados, not excluding Rose Bear. Unky Warthog alas cannot view it because of its far too explicit content.

That's it. Please comment on how wrong he got the last couple answers and anything else you want to know about the elusive "super hot girl that works at a chocolate factory."

Interview, Podcast, Contest, Documentary

EGM Interview
Brian Jarrard and Tyson Green of Bungie speak to the EGM in a very long Q & A session about Halo 3. They reveal some interesting things about the game and it's definitely a good one to print out for the trips to the bathroom at work.

Podcast
I finally got a chance to listen to the Bungie podcast this morning and it was pretty entertaining. But the most entertaining part was when they were talking about the final days/weeks of the making of Halo 1. And how they almost cut the LAN capabilities because it was giving them problems. They thought that the amount of people that would have hubs, network cables and/or crossover cables would be so small that no one would ever really play it. Oh, how our lives would be different.

Another interesting thing was how they talked about whether the power of the pistol was a late change or if it was an accident that slipped past the final testers. No one would fess up to it but Harold Ryan says in a prophetic voice "The pistol will make a comeback" not sure what that means and no one seems to explain it in the podcast. But maybe, just maybe something will change in the next update. At this point though, no matter what they change people with complain.

Play and Win Contest
Xbox Live is offering a contest called "Play and Win" for Halo 3. You could win a limited print, from the cover art of the Halo 3 Limited Edition manual, or one of 1,250 daily prizes of 800 MS points.

Just register and play Halo 3 online from 2/9/08 to 2/15/08. No matter what your skill level is, you'll be entered to win. Official Rules here.
New Interviews?

We need to get a new member of the KofC so we can have another interview. That or we need to go with a second round of interviews for our current members. I can think of probably 4 or 5 questions that are decent. We could either try and come up with more or have one post where everyone answers 2 or 3 questions. What are your thoughts?

Second Skin Movie
There is a documentary coming out about people that play MMORPGs. Below is the trailer, I was half expecting Jesse Carlson to be in this movie.

Possible Future Knights of Cydonia: Get to Know 'Em (Unky Playboy)

Well, there is a lot of news going on today. But I will post about that later (if I have time). But first we have another interview of a person who wants to join the reputable Knights of Cydonia. Although he holds the name "Unky" it is up to us decided if he is a full fledged member or a sometimes called upon alternate.

Discuss his credential's below.

Name: Unky Playboy (AKA: Casey Rigdon)

Age: 20

Why the name Unky Playboy? Freshman year my roommates decided to call me Playboy because they claimed that I could date any girl that came into our room. I disagreed but the name stuck... Unky is self explanatory.

If you could go out drinking with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be? Harrison Ford, Van Morrison, John Lennon.

Same question, replace drinking with video games: The Unky Trifecta (Warthog, Eternal, and Yeager you guys might meet him soon)

Halo 1, 2, or 3? 3 and 1 cannot be compared so I like them both the most. 2 blows.

What is your favorite Halo 3 map? Pit or Valhalla depending on size of the group...however, Standoff has some promise

Least favorite Halo 3 map? Isolation

Preferred Halo 3 weapon? Plasma Grenade

Least favorite weapon? Brute Spiker or SMG

Preferred Halo 3 vehicle? Warthog

Least favorite vehicle? Brute Chopper

Greatest Halo memory? My brothers, Alex(17) and Jake(14), came up with my parents to visit so we of course had to play Halo (this is before three was out so we were playing one) My 17 year old bro is around my skill level most of the time and my other one is equivalent to the king of the 4th North Nubs. So the unkys, Eternal, Warthog and Yeager, challenged the brothers to a battle. We lost the first game but...fighting for my brother's honor in the next, I led my team to victory with a kill count of 32 and a death count in the single digits.

Worst? Whenever I get splattered by a Mongoose or killed by dual SMGs

What is your favorite beverage? Black and Tan....Pepsi if without alcohol

What is your best drinking accomplishment? I gargled with Hawk for 15 seconds....sober.

What size and type of TV do you play on? Eternal's 56" DLP Samsung.

What are your halo 3 strengths? The Grenade and then I'm pretty versatile.

Weaknesses? Fighting for my honor too much.

Best drinking memory? Drinking with my admissions counselor at the Hay market

Best drinking blackout? The night that I made strange noises for Unky Warthog...ask him about it.

What kind of player would you say you are (bear, spider, etc.)? I would say I am probably a mix between an amoeba and a mongoose.

Who would win an Halo 3 Team Slayer game? Brothers Rigdon or the Dammers? I'm biased, so brothers Rigdon.

Explain your affinity for sticky grenades. Plasma grenades are sweet. I'm left handed so I naturally squeeze the left trigger first. I think that if you can make a stick count from just outside of close range or even more so from long range, they can be one of the most effective weapons in the game.

How come you play so many video games but do not own a system or hdtv? Well I have a high def-tv at home, and a wii at home with my bros. And I have a Super Nintendo here. So I technically do have a system, but not a 360. It is on the wish-list.

Why don't you spend more time gaming and less time finding album art on iTunes? Because I have to keep up with my collection. Besides, I have to give the nubs their time.

Classic Rock or 80s? Classic Rock...but 80's is my guilty pleasure.

How much Halo 3 are you going to play in J-Term? There is no such thing as too much, but if there were, it would be that amount.

How badly do you want the Knights to come down and play as well? Really badly, its unfortunate that Luther's connection blows so bad. It would be fun to play system link with people that aren't nubs.

In 6 words or less, give your best description of who you know (but have not met) as Big Guy. "Big Tan Eighties Music Loving Man-Crusher"....or at least that's what I get from the Unkys.

Who won H3 heads up match, you or Eternal? Lets not talk about that.

You are in Choir, is that more or less lame than these three: a. being a secretary, b. having a cat, c. going tanning? Well, I would say that Choir is much less lame than all three of those. The lamest however, would probably tanning if not in preparation for a trip to somewhere warm.

You were awfully demanding with your email asking to be in KofC. What makes you KofC material? Well I didn't mean to be demanding... I just recognized the existence of my stats on the blog. I feel like I could definitely contribute to KofC because I was given the Unky title by Eternal and Warthog during the first halo match I ever played against them. And I'm pretty good.

Possible Future Knights of Cydonia: Get to Know 'Em (Adeclipse)

As Pablito eluded to in his earlier post. We received an email from this guy who said, "You guys have probably the best and most up to date website and blog I've seen for any groups." So he obviously has good taste.

None of us have had the chance of actually playing with him this but here is his interview, through these answers below we must decide if he is KofC material. Besides his response on the importance of assists, he had the fastest turnaround of any of us on the interview answers so he already has my vote. But I am only one man and KofC is a democracy. You all be the judge.

Name: Adam Spiess

Age: 24

What does Adeclipse mean? It doesn't really mean anything, I just happened to like the word eclipse when I was young, and since it was taken I just combined it with the first 2 letters of my name.

If you could go out drinking with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be? Man, that's a rough one. I guess I'd have to say George Bush just cause I bet he can hold his liquor and he'd have some interesting stories to tell when he was drunk, Homer Simpson, because that would just be awesome, and then last probably Chuck Norris because he can count to infinity... twice.

Same question, replace drinking with video games: Chuck Norris, because I want to see him lose it and break the video game and also everyone else in the room, plus I'm from Texas so I watch Walker Texas Ranger every day obviously... j/k, Tiger Woods second just cause I want to see if he's any good at his own game, Chris Farley would be last just because he seems like he'd be fun to play a video game with. [Editor's Note: Possible unhealthy obsession with Chuck Norris]

Halo 1, 2, or 3? I'd have to go with the 3. No reason really besides that they keep improving it in my opinion.

What is your favorite Halo 3 map? Guardian. I like creeping around and ambushing people with the shotty.

What is your least favorite Halo 3 map? I really don't like Isolation because of how it slopes in the middle and how it makes it hard to use the battle rifle or sniper.

Preferred Halo 3 weapon? I love the Battle Rifle and sniper. [Editor's Note: Bungie Stats say: AR, Melee and BR]

Least favorite weapon? The needler. They've just screwed it up so that anyone who doesn't know how to play can use it and get a few kills.

Preferred Halo 3 vehicle? How could you say anything but the warthog? I suck at driving though.

Least favorite vehicle? Banshee, because you have to have one of a few different weapons to bring it down.

Greatest Halo memory? When me and a friend were quitting from playing team doubles, walked away only to realize after about 2 minutes that we hadn't backed out of the lobby. When we came back we were down by like 6 or 7 in a doubles game. We ended up winning 25 to like 18.

Worst? I Played a big team battle once with a random group, had like 18 kills, and our team lost like 100-12 or something. My team was stupid and kept killing each other over and over then quit out. [Editor's Note: That might have been us.]

What is your favorite beverage? Bud light. Hey I'm from Texas what else can I say?

What is your best drinking accomplishment? I sang front stage at a Green Day concert once while drunk. Later I found out it was my bathroom. [Editor's note: So confused]

What size and type of TV do you play on? I play on a 62 inch Toshiba DLP HD.

What are your halo 3 strengths? I'm good at playing back with the Battle Rifle and Sniper, at creeping and staying hidden until the time comes to strike.

Weaknesses? I have my setting turned down on sensitivity a bit so close combat sometimes becomes an issue for me when the other person is all over me.

Best drinking memory? I have a few, but my best would all probably entail me hanging on to the top of a boat sail as it was sinking into a lake. It sounds like a good story, but then if you take into account that we had sunk 2 other boats that same day it just improves it. Keg stands on a boat are harder than they appear too.

Best drinking blackout(s)? Had a friend show up and downed 2 ½ bottles of Jägermeister, ended up falling over outside while playing Marco Polo with him in my backyard. It rained that night too.

Do you have a good Internet connection... On a scale from Daymonster to T1. (Daymonster connection=horrible to T1 = best possible)? I have a stable connection. Never have had a problem with it, but it's not T1.

What kind of player would you say you are (bear, spider) etc? Pit viper, I like to lay and wait for people to come to me sometimes. [Editor's Note: I forgot to include the link to the descriptions of the play styles, which would explain his answer. But judging on his answer I think he is a spider.]

How important would you say assists in Halo 3 are? Probably one of the most important if you're in a team game. It makes it a lot easier for a teammate when you're helping them. I would say assists are equal to a kill. [Editor's Note: Incorrect]

What is your general strategy at Isolation? In Isolation my strategy is normally head up top for a Battle Rifle and shotty, then depending on what the other team is going for heading down into the caves or working the top/sides of the map. I try to use Battle Rifle on this level still, so I'll try ranging enemies, even though you can't see them coming up on you as quickly.

You're married. What's that like? It's different. Not like being single. I like it because I no longer have to go through the whole dating scene. Also, my wife likes that I play video games and will buy me games and things randomly. She keeps trying to get more involved with video games too.

From your email you imply that you have been married at least 2.5 years and you are 24, did you get married when you were 21? I was 22 when I got married. I'll be 25 in March. My wife had just finished college at Baylor University where I'm currently at still.

Follow up question, what were you thinking? You know everyone has asked me that question. But hey, I don't have to clean, cook, and do a lot of other things that were a pain in the butt.

You live in Texas. Which of the following people who were born in Texas are you most proud of and why? Owen Wilson actor, Cowboy Troy country music rapper/singer, Hillary Duff singer/actor, Meatloaf singer, Lance Armstrong Cyclist? Lance Armstrong. He might have doped, but I really don't care. He's the only Cyclist I know, he's kind of like Tiger Woods in the way that he's the only reason I ever watched or kept up with the sport. [Editor's Note: The correct answer was Hillary Duff.]

How do you feel about a large fence to keep Americans from getting in to Mexico? You have it right, we just want some alcohol and they are trying to prevent us from getting to it. I'm outraged.

How many guns do you own in real life? Now that's an embarrassing question because I guess I do fit the stereotype. I probably own 7-8.

What guns from Halo can you buy at the corner gun store in your town? (ex: Spartan Laser) It sounds funny but there is a gun for sale down near some land we hunt on in south Texas that's a 50 MM Sniper Rifle. That's about as close as I could get. I mean they don't sell the Spartan Lasers in the corner gun stores, you have to go to a Wal-Mart here for those

Are you wearing cowboy boots (with or without the spurs) right now? I am not, but I do own a pair, and yes my family does own cows which I have to work sometimes. They are the dumbest animals on the face of the earth. [Editor's Note: Is Josey jealous?]

Why do you have such a good K/D ratio but you have such a low skill ranking and have played a lot of games? It's because I have been playing with some real life friends that aren't exactly good at Halo. I'm used to playing some team double games where I'll have 18 kills and still lose. That's kind of why I'm looking for some other people to play with. I mainly play with those people just to have fun not as much for a rating.

Knights of Cydonia: Get to Know 'Em (DammerWillEatU)

This is the final instalment of the first round of KofC interviews. I am sure we will have another round so everyone put your thinking caps on and think of a new line of standard questions. The interview with Dammer has a lot of inside jokes which I do not currently understand but hopefully this weekend they can be explained to me or recreated. On that note on to the interview...

Name: Jeff Hellman

Age: 22

If you could go out drinking with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be? The Luther College Drinking Team (LCDT - there is no I in team so we count as one entity), Andre the Giant, Alberto Salazar

Same question, replace drinking with video games: My 3 brothers. Simple Mario Partys turn into brawls, FPS games turn into shouting matches, my brother Mike is bad at vids and gets all whiny and quits, my brother Ben is better than me and it pisses me off. Surprisingly RPG is the only type that we can peacefully play at once. [Editor's Note: Three dudes playing RPGs is gay]

Halo 1, 2, or 3? It depends. If I'm looking for a game where the difference between horrible and good is the biggest I would choose Halo 1. One pistol, one spawn camp, three shots, one dead nubblet. If I'm looking for a game where there is excellent balance and even the best of players can get owned (most often by a nub with a mauler) then I want Halo 3. The thing I like best about Halo 3 is the variety of ways you can kill someone, and the variety of places to kill them from. That and it has matchmaking. If I had to choose right now what I wanna play I would choose Halo 3. Nostalgia, however, insists that I play a prolonged session of Halo 1 a couple of times each year. Notice Halo 2 didn't crop up in this discussion.

Preferred Halo 3 weapon? Battle Rifle. If the flamethrower didn't inevitably kill you it would be sweet.

Least favorite weapon? Plasma Pistol.

Preferred Halo 3 vehicle? Warthog, with the mongoose a close second. The bad thing about the mongoose is that I'm always so tempted to just drive instead of engage battle.
Least favorite vehicle? Brute Chopper because every time I use it I fail. That being said, a game of Demo with Brute Choppers would rock.

Greatest Halo memory? There really are too many to count. I think most of the ones that stand out to me have already been mentioned in Pollo's and SB's interviews. A personal favorite of mine is getting third behind SB/Pollo and the Cupids at a MegaLAN Halo 2 tourney, with nothing but myself and the worst Halo player ever as a teammate. You know you're in for a hard time when your teammate doesn't shoot and just throws grenades with the hope of getting someone before he dies.

Worst? Every time I wanted to play by myself and Cody (see player mentioned above) joined so I couldn't play ranked and I had to be on what was inevitably a losing team.

What is your favorite beverage? If I'm drinking with lots of people a couple red beers for taste and then a lot of 'Stones or Coors Lights to get drunk off of. If I'm drinking on a weeknight with just Pete, Sunset Blush. If I'm drinking on a Monday it's the Hawk. Seriously though, a cold Coors Light handed to me by a member of the LCDT, regardless of whether it's in or out of a boot.

What is your best drinking accomplishment? Individually sub-5:00 club. Teamwise, 5 guys, 5 sub-5:00's to come through in the clutch and close out Beerfest.

What size and type of TV do you play on? 46 inch Sharp Aquos. The same as Puyo's. One dead pixel in the left black sidebar of a 4:3 display. [Editor's Note: I have a dead pixel, and it accounts for at least one death every game, I am sure of it.]

What are your halo 3 strengths? My recent play has suggested I am learning to have a better K/D. Of course, with Daymonster in team doubles racking up the assists it helps. My overall strength I think is finding nubs and defeating them royally. If you look at games where we play horrible players I tend to lead. If you look at games where we play good players I'm middle of the pack.

Weaknesses? I'm learning to get out of this one, but I charge more than I should and I don't think through my grenades. I tend to throw two right after another in the same spot instead of anticipating where the enemy is moving to avoid the first throw.

Now that you are dating someone where you work what "Office couple" are you most like. Pam and Jim, Dwight and Angela, or Oscar and his boyfriend? Pam and Jim, only she has the same job as me so she has the same salary (unless my company doesn't pay women as much).

When can the Knights meet your new girlfriend? As soon as she's around when they visit me or I visit them. Last time I was with the Knights she wasn't considered my girlfriend. I offered the Poison concert but she has plans....which sucks cause now no one will take care of me when I'm blitzed off of free drinks. [Editor's Note: Rando Poison Fan Chick?]

Are you going to follow fellow KofC member Tilla and play house? Are you asking if I'm going to buy a house? Get married? Literally play house like a 4 year old? To all of the above: not in the immediate future.

Why do you look like such a wiener? Why do they still have this picture up?

How was it living with Josey for two years? It shoulda been more. Sophomore year took a turn for the worse and split us up, but we learned from it and became stronger friends. The trial run where Josey basically lived in my room J-Term junior year (the best month of life ever) solidified that we coulda co-existed. (speaking of why has nobody else mentioned that J-Term on this blog yet?) In the end I roomed with the horrible Halo player mentioned above and I have far more complaints about that than I ever will about Josey.

Do you think Squatting Bear has recently hid any fruit in your room? Probably. I'd rather have fruit than a bowl of shit though any day of the week.

Follow up question, if he did, how would you retaliate? Past history says I would probably take a Fosters and pour it all over his floor in a fit of drunken rage (I'm good for one of those every year), then take a sidewalk ice scraper, threaten him and then use it on myself causing a huge bruise on my quad. Following this I would calm down and drink more.

What is the best part about living in Owatonna? Proximity to everything. I'm 2 hours from home, an hour from Josey, SB, and Pollo, 2 hours from Luther (debatable about whether that's good or not).

How does it feel to be a victim of Asian rape chick? I go to my survivor meetings so it doesn’t feel as bad as it used to.

Please explain your legendary nasty farts: After drinking beer, my stomach exudes pure horribleness.

Favorite King's Cup Moment? Every time Dave was accused of playing guitar for girls. Close second, Josey refusing to say “Big Guy’s gay” after every sentence as dictated by the rule master.

Nel or Kay? To pwn? Kay by far. To eliminate from existence? Kay.

Knights of Cydonia: Get to Know 'Em (Pablito Neal)

While Neal's answers are often short and without explanation, we get a interesting look into the mysterious creature that is, Pablito.

Enjoy the Interview. Please post any questions or clarifications in the comments section below.

Name: Toby Neal

Age: 22

If you could go out drinking with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be? Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha

Same question, replace drinking with soccer: George Best, Johann Cruyff, Ferenc Puskás

Same question, replace soccer with video games: Me on lead, Daymonster on drums, Dammer on bass (I understand he's really good though I've never seen him play) and 'Howlin' Pelle Almqvist with the mic. P.S. We're playing Rock Band

Halo 1, 2, or 3?
1, 3, 2

Preferred Halo 3 weapon? Shotgun

Least favorite weapon? Plasma Pistol

Preferred Halo 3 vehicle? Ghost

Least favorite vehicle? Banshee

Best Halo memory? Getting the leaked French Halo 2 and training nonstop so I could be amazing on the release date. [Editor's note: define 'amazing']

Worst? Constantly being cheated by standby-ers on Halo 2 Live

What is your favorite beverage? Guinness

What is your best drinking accomplishment? The vast amount of local beer brands I've had in the places I've traveled, also getting and drinking absinthe in the Czech Republic.

What size and type of TV do you play on? SB's giant TV

Why do you not own a 360? Mainly a money issue, not pulling in Administrative Assistant dough. [Editor's Note: It's team assistant, ass.]

What are your Halo 3 strengths? Making a game plan.

Weaknesses? Sniping

You just purchased a cat... does that mean you are gay? No, I have a girlfriend, but she's from another city, you don't know her (and she's a model, blah blah blah)

If you could be any of these Toby Neals which would you be. Techno DJ from Australia, Homeopathic practitioner in Toronto, English Photographer/Writer, or 16year old calculator Mario level maker?
The 16 year old calculator Mario level maker! Can you believe how many people have downloaded that? It's a tragedy I never uploaded the sequel and its 3 versions: Ultimate, Hard and Wyatt. [Editor's Note: My levels have been downloaded more][Interviewee's Note: Only 1 of your 3 levels had more downloads than mine and Ultimate World II would be wildly popular had it been available. I think my TI Graph Link is lying in a box somewhere...]

Which is scarier to you; Figuring out how to get out of Squatting Bear's basement with Josey, without running into Unky Deb on Sunday morning, or your computer freezing in the middle of a Championship Manager Match? I save often in CM so escaping SB's basement is much scarier. It's not that she gets angry, just disappointed. Makes you feel way worse.

Starting at what salary would you quit your current job and play Championship Manager 40 hours a week? How much would I need to live on? Maybe $15,000. Do I get overtime when I inevitably play more than 40?

Once you start drinking heavy with other clan members, what do you think is your average amount of time before you fall asleep unnoticed? 2 hours.

Follow up question, how have you passed out early so many times but avoided the wrath of the sharpie? (especially when Unky is around) I haven't drank around Unky much. I've been sharpied once in my life, in Prague by some Aussies.

How much stuff are you downloading of Bit torrent right now? I know you are! CDs: The Hives, Ingrid Michaelson, Tokyo Police Club and DVD: Almost Famous

What percentage is porn? 0%, use youporn.com so my hard drive doesn't get too filled up.

Do you think your Austrian GF (who is cool, no attack), your fluency in German, and prolonged and constant returns to both Germany and its neighboring country Austria, raise any questions of your loyalty to the USA (K of C) drinking team? (specifically as we train to "compete in a super secret international competition to take on the Germans for national pride!") My loyalty to the USA politically is pretty questionable but to my clan-mates it's unwavering. If we were competing against the Germans/Austrians in a drinking competition I'd spy on their teams like Cherry did in Beerfest except I'd do my job right and hopefully not get executed.

Knights of Cydonia: Get to Know 'Em (Tilla)

Name: Tyler Buchardt

Age: 22 and 3/4 years of age

Sex: Yes Please!

If you could go out drinking with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would they be? Your mom, Cortona, and Bob Ross

Same question, replace drinking with video games: The angry German kid who was caught on camera cursing and screaming whilst playing video games (http://youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA), Jim Cramer from MSNBC's Mad Money, and Sergeant Major Avery J. Johnson

What was your Halo 1 name, who did you frequently play with on the Luther network, and did you ever encounter Josey, SB, LocoPollo, or DammerWillEatU? If so what were your immediate impressions? My Halo 1 name was DIPSHIT. Unfortunately I was unable to play any Luther network games because LUTHER SUCKS!!! The only people I ever played with were Christian Kline [Editor's Note: Ramathorn], Pants, and some of their other buddies. I guess I played against Pollo a few times. My initial thoughts of him were, "Who is this dude and why doesn't he have a life?" (Referring to the game me and my buddies played him 3 v 1 and got pwned).

Halo 1, 2, or 3? 3, 1, ……………………………………………………………………..2

Preferred Halo 3 weapon? My trusty rusty BR (he he he)

Least favorite weapon? NEEDLER!!! There's no way that gun is that powerful!!! [Editor's Note: IS TOO!!!]

Preferred Halo 3 vehicle? You can't go wrong with the reliable Warthog. Fun to drive and even more fun to lazer the S#$@ out of them as the opposing team flees towards their base in a frantic game of CTF.

Least favorite vehicle? Brute Chopper. Enough said!!!

Best Halo memory? I would have to say that my best Halo memory would be purchasing the Special Edition Halo Xbox with a fresh copy of Halo and 2 transparent green controllers. After pawning off of my friend's Xbox for quite some time, I was glad to finally have my own copy and play whenever I wanted to.

Worst? None. I bad day of Halo is far better than a good day at work. [Editor's Note: It's true Sandy.]

What is your favorite energy drink? Definately Von Dutch. Unfortunately, I cannot find it anywhere...Bastards!

What is your favorite pop/soda? GAME FUEL!!!

What happened when you tried to stop drinking energy drinks and soda? Massive headache! My body could not suffice without the taste of pure, unadulturated caffine/sugar. [Editor's Note: Your level of irritability was off the charts, much like a crackless crack addict.]

You are given the opportunity to maim one single person from the Luther community of students. Who do you choose and why? MATT REYHONS!!! Need I say more!

You recently purchased a house, what is the first part of this house you are going to spend a large amount of your earnings on making cool? No doubt about it...I must have a theater room.

What is your current video gaming setup (TV, Audio, etc.)? Well lets just put it this way...at least I have a color TV... [Editor's Note: It could be worse. DisabilityDan had a 9 inch screen he played 4 player on.]

What are your Halo 3 strengths? Sitting back and not attacking when our team has the lead.

Weaknesses? Going into an ambush all by myself when my team is down...

If you could only eat from the Luther cafeteria for the rest of your life (heaven forbid) what would you eat, and in what ways would you make use of stroganoff's various forms (casserole, sandwhich, noodles, salad, etc.) since you obviously would not eat it? I would probably wander my way over to the pasta line and pray to God that they actually have Garlic and Herb sauce. Then I would ask for as many noodles as they can fit on my tray and just tell them to dump out the whole pan of Garlic and Herb sauce. After that, I would find my way over to the Grill line and pick up 10 Itallian Grilled Chicken patties to top off my tray of pasta delisciousness. The stroganoff would come in handy when filling my neighbor's drawers with whatever nasty concoction I can get ahold of. Those loud ass douschbags will be quiet now!

Rank the top 3 futbol teams you are a fan of. Arsenal,.......................Man U, then AC Milan

Rank the top 3 futbol players you are a fan of. Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, and Peter Crouch

You can have a drink at any drinking establishment in the world. What's your drink, where are you drinking it, and in what kind of glass/container? I would have to say a pint of Guinness at any pub in Ireland. If you have not been to Ireland, you are missing out.

Seeing as both you and LocoPollo are red-heads, what is your estimated arrival of red hair losing it's recessivity and becoming a dominant gene? Does it give you any advantage in Halo play? It already is dominant...you better watch yourselves!
