Daymonster to never sleep again.

Scientists are working a snortable drug that can replace sleep. I know what you are thinking, no, scientists are not testing crushed up Adderal pills. Supposedly the issued a nasal spray containing a naturally occurring brain hormone called orexin A to a bunch of moneys. It reversed the effects of sleep deprivation in the monkeys, allowing them to perform like well-rested monkeys on cognitive tests.

Although the doctors say that the drug, if issued to Squatting Bear would merely help him sleep the recommended 7-8 hours. As SB's desire for slumber overpowers even the strongest drugs and hormones.

Check out the article here about orexin A.

If I collected action figures/dolls I would totally buy these.

Since I am the self-proclaimed best Rock Band drummer in the KofC, I will provide you with an article about how to become as almost as good as me.

This is gross.

Watch this video of Tyler "Psycho T" Hansbrough dunk on Kenny George. George is 7' 8" btw,

Pokerstars Pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier won the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure that SB played in and Josey and I attended. It would have been way cooler if SB would have won the 2 million, but what-ya-gonna do?

On a related note, Squatting Bear, I have one of the PCA shirts in my bag. I'll give it back to you next time I see you.

Also, I saw this lil' guy at the tournament. I wonder if he plays Halo?

Anyways, that's about all I got for today. Hopefully with Josey and SB back, the blog will get going again and we could maybe even play some vids.

I'll challenge you on the Rock band drummer part. That's all i play when i play rock band. It's most likely because i've been a drummer for about 14 years. It is awesome. I think we'll have to play to see sometime.

Oh man, I bet you can dominate me. I never played drums before in RL but I am pretty decent on RB.

Awww dang I was hoping that you'd be really good. I struggle on the experts still, but it's mainly because the set up isn't exactly like a real drumset and it will confuse me, but i can do all of the hards. Oh well, i'll still challenge you.

Yeah, I can get 96-100% on medium, can pass everything on hard except for one Metallica song, haven't played much expert.

Little known fact:
It takes around 17 minutes for me to browse 600 different web pages as fast as I can. How do I know? Tilla and I are getting closer with the rating calculator! Luckily, the second time it only took 5 and a half minutes (probably due to the way internet cacheing is set up by my ISP). We need the finalized formula though.

Don't worry about the time issue, we're currently looking at setting up locally saved stats on your computer so that it will only take that long initially while it compiles data and saves it to your computer.

You can use excel to get rss feeds or something fancy like that I think. The newest Excell has this really nice xml stuff built in. I remember some dude made a pretty in depth halo 2 stats thing with excel. What are you making yours with?

We're just making it in Java so we can use the Swing library. We're gonna save all the games out to an XML file, and then the user will have the option to resynch their XML file to get their latest collection of games added or just use it as is. At least this way the long wait will only happen the first time you use it. We looked into the RSS feed but it didn't have enough in depth info I don't think for the formulas we would use. Naturally while we're trying to make it work, we continue to have cool ideas about where to go with it next that might not be possible in excel. More importantly though I don't know excel very well and I don't wanna learn.

I couldn't even find RSS feeds for the Halo 3 stats. For Halo 2 it is just right there on the stats page. Where are they?
Also, I demand you rewrite it in C++ with a directx interface so we can port it over to xbox 360.

Lol, well since we're making outrageous demands I demand that bungie give our app access to their game log databases so that we can get more useful stats. Unfortunately the individual medals are kept in a separate javascript file for use when you "rollover" your icon on the game stats page. We therefore can't get to the individual medals by just scraping the webpage. Daymonster or Pablito we need the formula. We're basically done (with this very raw version).
