So it's Official (almost)

We have come to an agreement. This picture was taking at the conflict resolution meeting we had. We did not bring guns as a threat, it just happens that all of our video games happen to use guns. (I think we all know this, but in case their lawyer is looking at this, it's a joke. This meeting never actually took place.)

Okay good, now that we got that cleared up. On to official business...

I have gone through all the posts and changed anywhere where it said Columbus to Cydonia. I didn't change it where the post wouldn't make sense if I changed it. Like when we are talking about the letter from the "real" Knights of Columbus ® ©.

I also couldn't change some of the comments where it says "Columbus" but I think we will live. The more I think about it, the more the change is a little bittersweet for me. I think the new logo is cooler and I also think that it was so funny to get that letter that it was worth the change and the hassle. It's a little sad because we were the Knights of Columbus and it hurts to see so much of our storied history get changed with a swift use of ctrl+V.

It was a good thing this happened when it did because I was this close (pinching my fingers together) to getting a "Knights of Columbus" tattoo. That would have been a BIG mistake, almost as big of a mistake as this guys tat.

I am also glad in away that we are no longer associated with a group that is so exclusive. Our clan welcomes females and minorities, I believe that was their issue with our clan more than just simply the name.

I saw the Knights of Columbus at the St. Patrick's day parade and I couldn't help but wonder if any of those guys have heard about us. I am guessing probably not, but it didn't stop be from saying a few "boo's" in their general direction.

Anywho, I am about to migrate the site over to kofcclan.blogspot.com. knightsofcydonia.blogspot.com is already taken, but it only has one post in June of 2006. I am going to see if I can contact that person and get the name from them. I didn't want to do it until people had a chance to see what the new address would be.

Also, after looking through the old posts there are a few things we need more of. We need more comments from Josey, SB, Unky and Tilla. We need more of the Poster Series from SB as well as other hilarious news postings about KofC members.

in the pic of the conflict resolution meeting it's hard to say which would look more ridiculous if i saw them in real life, master chief or those weirdos on the left.

I did see them in real life, not MC but the other dudes. Their hats are funny. One guys beard was green, probably the craziest thing he has ever done, well besides all the other crazy thing devout catholics have to do.

Both my grandfathers are/were KofC members. My dad is a very inactive member, as is my uncle. We used to go to KofC bowling tournaments back in the day. My g-pas both had/have really sweet swords too. The rest of the attire is lame, but the swords are cool.

I'd like to stress that I don't think all Knights of Columbus suck, just the ones that thought we affected their organization.

wtf dammer. both your grandfather's are members and your dad is a member? WTFWTFWTFWTF.

i sense a conflict of interest and a possible traitor. obviously someone tipped off the Knights of Columbus to our blog, and it now seems the most likely culprit is dammer. BANHAMMER says I.

I bet there are Knights out there we could get along with just fine, but when your orginization is that large, some annoying people are bound to get in.

Harry (my former boss) told me once that if you fill a bar with 100 people of all colors and races, most of those people will be nice and have a great time, but you are bound to have a few assholes. My job as a bouncer was to deal with those assholes, but the advice was good and I think it applies to most situations.

On the other hand Harry was probably drunk when he told me that, so it could be way off, but he was always drinking so arguably he might even function better on the booze . . . who knows.

I second that. That would aslo explain why he only plays in the morning when none of us are online.

lol... i think the majority of the knights of columbus are assholes. There are probably like 3 or 4 that are cool and they are taking the org down from the inside.

I was playing Monday at what would normally be my "after work" time! I'm also onto disc 4 of Lost Oddyssey, so that's taken a lot of my XBL play away.

As far as the "meeting" that took place, was there ceremonial toking of the peace pipe or perhaps a sacrificial lamb? I also call traitor on Dammer. So many family ties, so many possibilities of treason. Look me straight in the eyes tomorrow at work and tell me it wasn't so!

Let's crucify him and see if he rises in 4 days. Then we'll know if he is a traitor or not.
